why i play games
I game because I didn’t have many close-by friends, and the ones I did have lived far away, often in another state. Gaming became our meeting spot — a place where we could reconnect daily, laugh, compete, and just hang out despite the distance. It’s more than just playing; it’s how I stay close to people who matter to me. And when I play well, and my friends cheer me on, it lifts me up. It boosts my confidence and reminds me I’m not alone. I play because it gives me connection, joy, and a space where I can just be myself.
