About Ajeeb Ajanmya
Ajeeb Ajanmya is an unschooled nature-inspired learner, baker and artist whose life reflects a deep connection with the earth, creativity, and community. Growing up outside the boundaries of traditional schooling, Ajanmya embraced an open, experience-rich journey shaped by curiosity and compassion. His days have been filled with exploring nature, animals, cooking, baking, crafting, designing, and learning directly from life, people, and the world around him.
From childhood, Ajanmya has shown a profound empathy for animals. This love led him to volunteer with some animal care centers and zoos across India, offering his time and tenderness to those who cannot speak but deeply feel. Whether in forests, farms, or rescue shelters, his ability to tune into the needs of animals has remained a quiet yet powerful part of his life’s expression.
His hands-on explorations also extended learning traditional and alternative methods of house-building, including bamboo construction and woodcraft, while staying in forest communities and villages. Farming and gardening became natural extensions of this lifestyle. His inquisitiveness about how things grow led him to spend time with farmers, gardeners, and elders across India—learning about soil, seeds, and sustainability. Later, while living in urban spaces, he carried this passion into terrace gardening, experimenting with growing food and herbs in small city corners with deep care and innovation.
In addition to his nature related pursuits, he has explored the culinary arts, facilitating workshops on baking, cooking, and kabad se jugaad (transforming waste into value) during his travels across India. He has also ventured into modeling, acting, and skateboarding. He has been involved in acting since childhood, collaborating on a YouTube channel with his brother Qudrat.
As an artist, Ajanmya began exploring digital art on his own, evolving a distinct style that blends simplicity, storytelling, and soul. He brings this unique creative touch to Playfull, where he contributes illustrations and visual content for the webapp, website, books, and activity guides. His artwork adds warmth, imagination, and depth to the visual language of Playfull.
Being one of the co-authors of Parenting with a Smile, Ajanmya’s voice speaks through not only his sharings but also illustrating the cover page and all authors' digital facial art. His life is a living example of what becomes possible when learning is driven by wonder and not worry. Through every sketch, workshop, and garden he tends, he reminds us that parenting, like life, is most beautiful when it grows organically—with play, presence, and purpose.
